Francophone music entrepreneurs from across Western Canada are getting ready to gather in Winnipeg this month for an event focused on building key music business connections and creating career development opportunities.

Presented through Manitoba Music's Francophone initiative, La musique francophone de l'ouest canadien and dubbed Rame à la rencontre de l’industrie de la musique francophone, the event builds on the success of last year’s inaugural Rame à la rencontre and a Montreal edition in October.

Running February 20 and 21, in conjunction with Festival du Voyageur, Rame à la rencontre features two showcases and an afternoon industry panel as well as networking opportunities and one-on one meetings for participants. The event offers the Francophone music community a rare opportunity to connect with the industry tastemakers, showcase their talents, and continue to learn about the business of breaking into Francophone markets.
